I was skeptical of the stuff Eagle Creek Pack-It when I first saw it at REI ... I have a suitcase, so why should I buy more compartments to put in it? But I took a chance and got a package and folder-It Pack-It Half Cube. This Half Cube is ideal for organizing my socks or pants and can contain quite a lot 'given its size. Even if you can roll up t-shirt and put them in here, I tend to use my folder for pants, shorts and shirts. I am a biologist, so when I go out of town I'm kind of packaging both hiking socks for work and regular socks for after work. I can easily fit 4-5 pairs of hiking socks, including some that are quite thick, and 2-3 pairs of regular socks in this little cube half. I can easily fit 6 pairs of boxer shorts rolled up in one line in the middle Cube; if you really wanted to you could probably double that by stacking them. Since the entire thing is soft, it is also quite flexible and can accommodate more than we would expect. It zips up easily and takes up about half the space in the compartment socks / underwear in my size standard carry-on suitcase. It keeps things a bit 'more organized than in the past to be and helps me keep separate clean and dirty easier. If you want to spend more you could get the cube on two sides and then keep it very clean and dirty from each other, but if you do not want to spend much, this is a good deal.
